Tonight I was meant to post about something completely opposite, but since I’ve been working on a quick review on the show The Dogs D’Amour offered in Barcelona last night for elNerdo.es and also been editing a new post for Norma Jean Magazine, I haven’t been able to finished on time and will post it hopefully tomorrow.
Few minutes ago I was chilling out on Twitter when a friend has post a terrible link to a website selling terrible men’s underwear including these horrible dick enhancing briefs whose sight has almost caused me a nervous breakdown. Here’s the link in case you feel curious, but remember I’ve warned you.
One thing has led to another and I’ve found myself looking for captures of William Friedkin’s 80’s film Cruising, with Al Pacino as the main character, an undercover cop chasing a gay serial killer operating in the Meatpacking district in Manhattan, where all these insane S&M gay clubs were placed at the end of 1970s. A really fascinating film I recommend.
When looking for this super gay thongs with straps I’ve noticed quite recent captures with more muscled gays to start with, and James Franco as if directing, holding a camera, on the other hand. Weird.
I’ve been doing some research as to find some explanation till I’ve discovered the surprise of this documentary, Interior. Leather Bar, directed by Franco, which apparently aims to recreate those 40 minutes of missing footage , which was cut and destroyed so Cruising could pass through American censorship avoiding the X rating.
As far as I know, the documentary is being screened in remarkable festivals such as Sundance and Berlin, and the reviews are quite positive. Guess it will take us some time to be able to watch it, but definitely I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be worth watching.
Here’s the trailer
